Autobiographical Narrative
My name Is Mayra Bautista, I am seventeen years old and I was born in Reno, NV but raised in Lindsay, CA. I come from a family of 5; I have an older sister and one younger sister, I have not always lived in Lindsay; when I was younger I lived in San Diego. I attended kindergarten and first grade there. Then I moved to Exeter, where I attended second grade. Finally after a year we moved to Lindsay, and I have been here ever since.
Since I was younger I've always wanted to become a teacher. I really love the idea of helping a childs education expand by teaching them new things. Where I plan on attending school to learn about Child Development is Fresno State, home of the bulldogs. The reason I want to attend Fresno State is because not only do they offer what I want to learn about but also because it is only an hour away from home. My family and I have always been close we always enjoy going out every weekend and going on family trips. Leaving my family is definitely going to be really hard for me.
CSU’s look for students that have completed algebra 2 and chemistry. As of right now I am taking chemistry and have already completed my math requirements to attend a University. My expectations for my future are set pretty high but it isn't impossible. I am dedicated to achieve my goal not only for myself but to make my family proud. My older sibling attended college but did not graduate. I would like to be the first to come home with a college degree.
The person that has always pushed me to reach my goal is my dad. My dad has always supported me in everything, he has always believed in me. He has done his very best to raise my sisters and I. My dad did not attend college however he has his own company as a construction contractor. He did have to take some classes to get his license and he is doing really great I am proud of him. My dad gets home really late at times I see how hard he works and that is something I would not enjoy doing. This is why I wouldn't want to be in the position he is in so this is why I believe attending college is very important and is something I definitely want to do. I want to be able to earn a good amount money so I can help my parents out later on just like they have helped me.
